The pressure is undoubtedly there. Let alone by the media portraying it so much. Yet, the pressure has changed insofar that nowadays it is possible for each one to decide for her- or himself whether to bow to it or not. You are no "social outcast" anymore when you are not married with children. Some may see the need to pity you, but in the end the decision is yours on how to cope with that. Even moreso for women, much has changed in this regard.
