Still not used to injections/needles

Monday I had to go to the dentist to have two teeth filled. I'll admit that I skipped dentist for about a year. While I of course "survived" the aneathetic injectionS, it set me back in my quest to get used to needles in a medical environment.
The first two were not as bad, and I got the nurse to cover my eyes and hold my head down. However, the dentist had to set a third injection, which he put in the jaw joint and boy did that hurt. DAYS later, I am still not a happy camper, cannot chew properly or open my mouth.
Have to have blood taken on Monday, we'll see how that goes...
Also, since the day after the dentist, I have a sore throat and am tired and grumpy -_- I really hope that I won't come down with a cold, cannot really afford to miss work currently. Wanted to buy ginger for tea, but the ginger at our Aldi looked so sad (dry already) that I decided not to buy.

Today's work activity: Nyaaa could have been better, but I am still skirtinsweet spot where I can still read a bit on the side while getting a reasonable amount of work done. No deadlines missed.

Today's online activty: Too much tumblr, too much reading fanfiction, but also paid some invoices and finally learned an easy way to knit left and/or right leaning increases.

Today's creative activity: ... does knitting count. I knitted one troll leg XD Made no progress to the ffs I wanted to further, but some on the dark thing I have lurking currently only for my personal 'amusement'. Does still count as creative, right?

Does anyone else have the problem here on DW that they cannot delete notifications from their inbox...? (Help! XD)

It has been ages since I last updated any social media (barring reposts, there I am guilty). Be patient with me. I have been sucked backed into Homestuck fanfiction, so that is where I spend most of my reading time currently...

I also have the feeling that my brain is not what it used to be after my thyroid literally tried to kill me this summer ^^"
(yes kids, get your bloodwork done, even if you are like me and tend to throw violent fits at the mere thought. Took me long enough to find nurses who would hold me down after I asked them to; the doc I left when I got sick used to tell me it was not allowed... psychologically, it is not very valuable to force yourself/be forced, I agree. Still, medically, shit can be important.)

So. Thyroid. Fucks with aaaall your hormonal levels and most other functions. I spent most of summer either in bed or in hospital on and off because my heartrate was at about 110+ bpm and I was so weak that my legs would just give out after one flight of stairs.

That is so much beter now! I am stronger than I have felt for YEARS! Less hypersensitive, too, though I cannot say whether or not that is a positive development. When you are used to hypersensitivity, it tends to feel a bit numb now. However, I am still in that phase where they are trying to find the right dosage (well. and meds if that dosage does not take). The meds I got are thyrostatics, which you can only use for about 1.5 years, or so I've been told. I really hope that they will have found a good dosage before I have to withdraw and most likely have my thyroid removed... Getting older is fun. Not.

tl;dr: Brain slow. Tired af. Still productive citizen again, because why have any hobbies or a social life if you can go to work and collaps as soon as you get home *:)
